We have a team of experienced and enthusiastic instructors and personal trainers, who are here for you. Dan, James, Joey, Tammy and Jodi (with the occasional guest instructor) are the driving force behind Target Active Fitness. With decades of combined experience in the fitness industry, we’re confident we can help you achieve your health and fitness goals. All we need is you, some hard work and plenty of laughs along the way.

Dan

Co-owner, Dan qualified as a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist in 2011 and started Target Active Fitness in 2016 alongside James. He has qualifications in Exercise Referral and is an MNU certified nutritionist. His passions are helping people learn about health, fitness and nutrition in a way they can maintain. With a main client base focused on weight loss, rehab and strength training, Dan likes to dispel the myths that women shouldn’t lift heavy weight and sugar is bad for you! A keen, should-really-be ex-Rugby player and wannabe CrossFit athlete.

James

Co-Founder James has transformed himself from a self-conscious teen, to a seasoned fitness expert, through a journey of discipline and passion. With over 20 years’ experience in health and wellness, he became a Level 2 and 3 Personal Trainer in 2013, later expanding into sports nutrition, Gym-based cycling (James loves a remix!), boxing and circuit training. James’ mission is to inspire and empower others to push boundaries, build confidence and achieve real, lasting success.

Joey

Joey has been in the fitness industry for over 30 years, qualifying in 1994. Having taught all types of group exercise classes, she now focuses on her favourites: Spin, Step, HiiT and core (which you can find on our timetable).

Joey loves teaching at Target Active Fitness due to the genuine sense of community and camaraderie that you don’t always get in bigger gyms.

She loves watching members progress over the weeks and seeing their confidence grow, knowing that she is helping them to commit to improving their health massively.

Tammy

Tammy is our Yoga teacher. Specialising in Vinyasa Flow, she is dedicated to making a difference to the health and wellbeing of others. Tammy will guide you through a flow of Yoga postures that will balance and harmonise your mind, body and soul. The perfect addition to your gym sessions.

Jodi

Jodi has been a Personal Trainer for over 14 years, with degrees in Psychology and Sport and Exercise Science. She is also a wellness mentor and coach across Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, and a Mental Health Guest Speaker. To add to that, Jodi is also a qualified Yoga Teacher, with bags of energy for spin, circuits and abs classes.
